The Architecture of Movement

The Architecture of Movement is a project I am currently working on. I started visualising my own movement during the build-up of installations as recorded on video’s, by creating cartographies of these movements. Currently, I am observing the movement of random people or groups of people in public space, preferably with significant architecture present there. It is interesting to notice how the architecture is both facilitating and at the same time limiting people’s movement through it. Here are some examples of lino prints and sculptures I’ve been creating as experiments and models of possible visualisations of the architecture of movement.
